Hello, I'm George S. Yerger, LPCC

Healing Beyond Words.

I know from my own healing journey that insight alone is not enough to create lasting change. Anxiety, overwhelm, panic, and disconnection often live not just in the mind, but in the nervous system and body as well. I offer a somatic, experiential approach to therapy that helps clients reconnect with themselves in a deeper and more grounded way. When working with me, you do not have to have all the answers, get every detail right, or rush to any conclusions. The space we create is grounded in curiosity, openness, relational safety, and, above all, a place where you can simply be human. My work draws from somatic, mindfulness-based, and attachment-focused approaches that support deeper awareness, connection, and lasting change.ABOUT MY PRACTICE: READ MORE BELOW

Reconnecting Body, Mind, and Self:
My Approach

My practice is grounded in Gestalt and somatic therapy traditions that consider not just your thoughts, but also what is happening in your body and nervous system in the here and now.By slowing down and paying attention to your present-moment experience, we can begin to better understand the connection between your thoughts, emotions, bodily sensations, and deeper relational patterns. In this way, therapy becomes an opportunity to build greater awareness, flexibility, self-trust, and connection over time, beyond insight or symptom relief.

From Survival To Presence:
Complex Trauma, Anxiety, Panic & Dissociation

Many people carry the effects of complex trauma without fully realizing it. Experiences of chronic stress, attachment injury, emotional overwhelm, or unresolved trauma can leave the nervous system stuck in patterns of survival long after the original circumstances have passed. These patterns may show up as anxiety, panic, dissociation, emotional numbness, relationship struggles, or a persistent sense of disconnection from yourself and others.Therapy with me is not about forcing symptoms away, but about approaching your experience with greater compassion, curiosity, and awareness. Together, we work to better understand what your nervous system has learned while gradually building new experiences of safety, regulation, connection, and presence.Paradoxically, it is often through accepting and making space for our experience, rather than fighting against it, that healing begins to emerge.

A Space to Come Home to Yourself

I believe healing happens through relationship, Self-attunement, and the gradual rebuilding of trust in your experience. My role is not to position myself as the expert on your life, but to walk alongside you with curiosity, honesty, and compassion.Clients often describe me as grounded, genuine, and easy to talk to. I strive to create a space where all parts of your experience are welcome, even the parts that feel confusing, overwhelming, or difficult to put into words.Outside the therapy room, I value time in nature, mindfulness practice, movement, and meaningful connection. These experiences continue to shape my own relationship with healing and the way I show up in this work.
